Salzburg, Austria

We took the Sound of Music tour in Salzburg. It was fun seeing all the sights used in the Sound of Music. The men were good sports to humor my Mom & I by taking the tour. I think Jason got a really nice nap on the bus. The tour was 4 hours.

Here is the “I am 16 going on 17” Gazebo. The tour guide thought our youngest was a girl and said he would dance with “her.” Poor boy cameΒ running backΒ to me saying “I am a boy, he is a funny man”

Here is the church they got married in the movie. It fun to see the real sights and the fake sights.

This is the lake behind the house in the movie. Salzburg is really beautiful.

The highlight of the tour for the guys. They have these tracks all over Switzerland so we’ll have to do it again soon.

Mom had a pile up of about 5 people behind her. She took it a little too slow

My brother likes to give the kids challenges.Β He told him to go pray in church.

An evening in Salzburg. The weather was great and we had such a fun time.

On the way home we stopped by the Nueschwanstein castle.

At the Hohenschwangau castle. The weather was fantastic. We really did have a great road trip with the family.

  1. I would love that tour! I love the Sound of Music…and have always thought that Austria looked really beautiful…Dustin probably would’ve been sleeping too, though, guys just aren’t interested in that kind of stuff I guess.

  2. Yes, I talked to mom, this was a highlight, I would have really enjoyed that tour too! I love the picture David took of Jonah praying. Priceless.

  3. I think its so cool how many visitors you’ve had, living in an entirely differnt country. You’re so blessed to have great family and friends. And how fun to see David fresh from the mission.
