Our family travels

Lisbon

We drove to the outskirts of Lisbon and took the train into town. We loved the warm weather, but it got pretty hot sight-seeing. Lisbon is the largest city in Portugal.

Taking a break on the church steps.

Smile or look the other way.

An elevator in the middle of the town, interesting.

Of course there has to be a castle. Unfortunately there was an earthquake in Lisbon in 1755 destroying most of the city, so it was mostly ruins.

Look familiar? These reminded of the San Francisco cable cars.
