Dubrovnik, Croatia

Dubrovnik was really amazing. We’ve been to quite a few cities with city walls but this one was really breathtaking perched right on the edge of the Adriatic Sea. We were fortunate to arrive in the old city early. The streets only had a few tourists but by mid afternoon the place was packed.

Buying our tickets to climb up and around the city wall. I would defiantly recommend this. It took us about an hour to walk along the city wall but the views were great.

A look out point up on the wall. The sky and water was really that blue!

Stopping to rest along the city wall

Taking another break. Thankfully it was only like 9 am because it was hot.

By the time we finished our walk around the wall the city came alive. The local school kids were having a race. Pretty fun to watch.

A view from outside the wall.  Look how clear the water was, it was just gorgeous.

The small port just outside the old city. The views we spectacular. I wish we would have had more time to explore the city. Guess that just means we will have to go back.

This a place I would really like to go back to and spend more time relaxing on their

  • I loved these last two cities. It looks like you went at the perfect time. When we went it was July and the line alone to get up the city wall was over an hour long. I ended up sending my husband by himself.

  • I LOVE CROATIA! I want to go back so bad. Except for the sea urchin that got stuck in my foot (after I warned Jared not to step on it) everything there was perfect and the people were awesome!

  • Wow….what a beautiful seaside location…all of those fortifications were to protect themselves from others… the water color is amazing. It looks like you had fun.
