Rothenburg ob der Tauber

Rothenburg is a beautiful medieval town that looks like it’s right out of a fairytale.

This was our last stop in Germany as we made our way home to Switzerland. Megan declared it her favorite town.

The local favorite all over town was the schneeballen. Don’t be deceived like we were…..they look yummy but are far from it.

They are also famous for their Christmas store. The minute we walked in we felt the Christmas spirit and walked out with some nice Christmas decor.

Looking cute in the town square.

The town is surrounded by a wall

The boys both got wooden swords and used them to attack us

The boys guarding the entrance outside the city wall

Meg and Jacob sitting on the wall. We had a fun picnic in the park and played tag for awhile.

Beautiful view from our apartment window above a bakery.

The morning before we left we walked along the wall. What fun city to end our vacation in. We had such a fun time withΒ my sister.

  1. These pictures are amazing. I love the one of Jonah too – a little mad. That is a great shot.

I talked to Megan the other day and she told me about the great time she had with you and your family. So fun. Great to have visitors – especially family.
